Yoga Notariza Kusuma Wardhana
Before becoming a member of the Assegaf Hamzah & Partners team in 2010, Yoga served for a year as a paralegal with a well-know law firm in Austin in the US state of Texas, an experience that considerably broadened his legal horizons and provided him with an invaluable introduction to the common law system.
As an associate at AHP, Yoga specializes in general corporate, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution. Respected by colleagues and clients alike for his sharp analytical skills and incisive approach, he has represented both local and international clients in a broad spectrum of mandates across a wide range of sectors, including the financial, media, energy, banking, and plantation industries. He was involved in the USD 11-billion PT Bank Mandiri Tbk rights issue in 2010 (Indonesia’s second biggest offering that year), and represented PT Northstar Pacific Capital in its acquisition of a securities company in the same year. In 2011, he advised PT Indika Energy on its USD 230-million bond offering. He is currently working on the Indonesian state’s high-profile divestment of its stake in PT Bank Mutiara Tbk.
Yoga earned a master of law degree in international business law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Law in 2009, having earlier been awarded a bachelor of law degree by Atmajaya University in Jakarta. He is a member of the University of Illinois College of Law’s International Law Students Association.
