Teddy Trianto Antono

Teddy is a relatively recent recruit to Assegaf Hamzah & Partners, having joined the firm as an intern straight out of law school in 2009. With his sharp intellect and dedication to the law, it came as no surprise when he was made an associate.

Since commencing his practice as a commercial lawyer, Teddy has focused on the M&A and capital market arenas. In his day-to-day work, he has demonstrated not only a firm grasp of the legal aspects, but also the realities of doing business in a variety of complex and challenging situations. Among other significant mandates, Teddy has worked on a series of high-profile offerings, many of them global, including mortgage lender Bank Tabungan Negara’s USD 199 million IPO in 2009, coal miner Berau Coal’s USD 152.3 million IPO in 2010, and national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia’s USD 382.8 million IPO in 2011.

Teddy graduated with a bachelor of law degree from Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung in 2009. While in law school, he was an active, and remarkably successful, participant in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, including serving on the team that represented Indonesia in the International Round of the competition in Washington DC in 2007-2008, which saw his team return home to Indonesia with a Dillard Award. He continues to act as advisor and coach to the Parahyangan international law moot court team.

A member of the Parahyangan International Law Society, Teddy is also an avid sportsman and a regularly on the AHP basketball team.
