Jesconiah Siahaan

Jesconiah , or Jesco as he is better known, is a recent addition to our firm, having joined in September 2010 after serving as an intern at a prominent Jakarta litigation firm between 2009 and 2010. Since his arrival at AHP, he has displayed considerable promise as a commercial lawyer.

Jesco focuses his practice on commercial disputes / litigation, and has proven adept at research and seeking out precedent, an area of the law that is sometimes neglected by the advocacy. He has also impressed both his colleagues and clients alike with his innovative and incisive legal drafting skills. Fluent in both the Indonesian and English languages, he provides invaluable service to the firm by accurately interpreting complex English-language legal texts and rendering them into Indonesian.

Among the major representations that Jesco is currently working on are a tort claim brought by telecommunications operator PT Indosat Tbk against state-owned gas company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara arising out of damage to Indosat’s fiber optic cables, and an appeal against a USD 1.5 million libel award.

Jesco holds a bachelor of law degree, majoring in civil law, from the University of Indonesia (2010). While in law school, he was an avid participant in the National Moot Court Competition. He also played an active role in a variety of other student activities, such as organizing legal discussions, student competitions, and spiritual pursuits.
