Ivan Nugroho
Ivan joined Assegaf Hamzah & Partners as an associate shortly after graduating from law school in 2010, and since them has been impressing his colleagues with his grasp of the law, and complex commercial concepts and arrangements.
With a insatiable desire for knowledge and an enduring willingness to learn, Ivan has been rapidly honing his legal and advocacy skills at AHP, and clearly has all it takes to become an outstanding commercial lawyer. He currently focuses his practice on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and direct foreign investment. Among the high-profile mandates he has worked on to date are PT Tower Bersama Tbk’s USD 207 million global public offering in reliance on Rule 144A/Reg S, which marked the first ever global offering / IPO by an Indonesian telecommunications tower company (2010), the merger of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk, PT Multiphala Agrinusa and PT Bintang Terang Gemilang in 2010, and the merger of PT Chandra Asri and PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk, also in 2010.
Ivan graduated cum laude with a bachelor of law degree from Atmajaya University in Jakarta. While in law school, he was an active member of various associations, and was a regular participant in legal seminars and workshops.
Ivan is passionate about all kinds of sport, and is also something of a martial arts aficionado. When not at the office or the ring, he likes to relax by reading histories of the world’s great empires, particularly classic accounts of the decline and fall of Rome.
