Arini Dyah Septiana

Arini came to Assegaf Hamzah & Partners as an intern in 2011 after previously spending a brief spell as a trainee with another prominent Jakarta law firm. She was made an associate in June 2011, and, thanks to her sharp and inquiring mind, has been rapidly building a name for herself as a promising young lawyer.

With a keen interest in commercial law since she first entered law school, Arini‘s practice at AHP has been primarily focused on the capital markets, banking & finance, and foreign direct investment. She has a particular interest in the extractive industries sector, and the impact of the new Mining Law on its future prospects. In her day-to-day work, she is engaged on a wide variety of tasks, including drafting, research, and conducting due diligence exercises. Among the significant mandates that she is currently working on are an Indonesian mining company’s proposed IPO, and a bond offering by a major coal miner.

Arini graduated from the University of Indonesia with a bachelor of law degree in 2011. She was a keen debater and participant in moot court competitions while in law school, and has a number of awards to show for her efforts. She has also attended a wide range of legal seminars, forums, and workshops, including ones on the oil and gas industry, the similarities and differences between common and civil law, the M&A sector in Indonesia, and intellectual property rights.

Imbued with a strong social conscience, Arini is involved in a wide range of charitable activities, including teaching disadvantaged children in the Jakarta slums as a volunteer with the Mom & Baby Center, a foundation focused on providing education to the disadvantaged.
